Our Light Sussex chickens are not only stunning but are docile and social chickens. They are always curious as to what is going on. They make great dual purpose chicken as they are good layers of brown eggs and grow quickly. Our Sussex are the most consistent layers throughout both hot and cold weather. Light Sussex were the original meat bird of England before the modern cornish cross.

Our Sussex originated from am APA certified flock. This breed tends to show well and makes a great choice for those in 4H. If I had to choose only one breed to have, it would be the Light Sussex.
