A small, delightful breed to have around. They are a friendly, curious addition to a backyard flock. Roosters are typically gentle with people but are excellent at protecting their hens. They are average layers with approximately 3 to 4 eggs per week.

These birds show well and are a great choice for those in 4H. Our birds do very well at shows. A big accomplishment for us in 2024 was winning best and reserve of breed at the International Poultry Show in Portage, WI along with winning champion featherleg!
